Acceptable use

Use netsh.io only to run diagnostics against systems you own or are authorized to test. Do not use these tools to probe or gather information about systems without permission, or try to bypass the private-network blocking and rate limits built into the service.

Rate limits and automation

Requests are rate-limited per IP address per tool. Scripting high-volume automated queries, or using the service as a component of another product without permission, is not allowed. Traffic that looks abusive may be blocked or restricted.

No warranty

netsh.io is provided “as is.” Diagnostic results reflect a single check from our infrastructure at a point in time — they are informational, not a guarantee of a system’s security or availability, and not a substitute for your own judgment or a formal assessment.

Limitation of liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, netsh.io and its operator are not liable for indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from use of this service.

Third-party data sources

Some checks (WHOIS, DNS propagation, blacklist status) query third-party registries, resolvers, or blocklist zones that netsh.io does not operate. Results are only as accurate and current as what those upstream sources report at the time of the request; netsh.io is not responsible for errors, delays, or omissions originating from a third-party data source.

Intellectual property

The netsh.io name, logo, and site design belong to its operator. Diagnostic output belongs to whoever ran the check — copy, share, or reuse your own results freely. Reproducing the site's own text or design elsewhere without permission is not permitted.

Trademarks

Product, company, and service names referenced or displayed on netsh.io — including, without limitation, Google, Microsoft, X (Twitter), WhatsApp, and GitHub, and the services named on our “Is It Down?” pages — are the trademarks or registered trademarks of their respective owners. Diagnostic results may also display third-party names, marks, or logos returned by DNS, WHOIS, ASN, or mail-server lookups (for example, a resolver, CDN, mail provider, or domain registrar identified in a result); these likewise belong to their respective owners and are shown solely to identify the entity a result pertains to. Use of any such name or mark on this site is nominative and for identification purposes only, and does not imply sponsorship, endorsement, or affiliation with netsh.io unless expressly stated.

netsh.io’s own name references netsh, the Windows command-line network shell utility, purely as a naming convention — this site does not replicate that utility’s interface and has no functional relationship to it. netsh.io is not affiliated with, sponsored by, endorsed by, or in any way officially connected with Microsoft Corporation, and “netsh” and “Windows” are trademarks of Microsoft Corporation.

The following third-party services are checked by our “Is It Down?” pages and are named solely to identify the service each page monitors; netsh.io is not affiliated with, sponsored by, or endorsed by any of them: Google, YouTube, Facebook, Instagram, WhatsApp, X (Twitter), TikTok, Amazon, Netflix, Gmail, Discord, Snapchat, Reddit, Spotify, PayPal, Twitch, Zoom, Steam, GitHub, Cloudflare, Outlook, ChatGPT, Roblox, LinkedIn, Pinterest, Wikipedia, Microsoft, and Airbnb.

Availability

The service is free and may be modified, restricted, or discontinued at any time without notice.

Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of the jurisdiction in which netsh.io's operator is based, without regard to conflict-of-law principles, to the extent permitted by applicable law.

Changes

These terms may be updated as the service changes. Continued use after an update means you accept the revised terms.
