DNS Propagation Checker queries the same record for a domain across several major public resolvers simultaneously — including Google, Cloudflare, and Quad9 — and compares the results each one currently returns. DNS changes do not apply everywhere instantly; resolvers around the world pick up a change at different times as their cached copies expire.

If every resolver agrees, the change has fully propagated. If they disagree, some resolvers are still serving the previous record from cache. This is normal in the hours following a DNS change and can take up to 24–48 hours to fully resolve, depending on the record's TTL.

This tool is useful when a DNS change appears not to be working on a local machine. It distinguishes a genuinely broken record from one that is still propagating — two conditions that look identical from a single vantage point but require different fixes.
