Internet Speed Test

Test your internet connection's download speed, upload speed, latency, and jitter, measured against this server.

The test reports four distinct measurements. Download indicates how fast data arrives; upload indicates how fast data is sent. Latency is the time required for a single round trip. Jitter is the variation in that round-trip time between successive checks; a connection with high jitter feels unstable even when average latency appears acceptable.

A high download figure does not guarantee a good experience. Video calls and gaming depend more on low, consistent jitter and latency than on raw bandwidth. For this reason, results are also presented as ratings for specific activities such as gaming, streaming, and video calls, rather than a single Mbps figure alone.

This test measures the connection to this site's own server rather than an arbitrary external server. A poor result reflects the actual path to this server, not unrelated congestion elsewhere on the internet.
